We all arrive at sport at different stages of our lives and for very different reasons. I have always been intrigued by what drives individuals and to help understand your drivers (or as Ironman would say, your âWHYâ) I qualified as a Level 2 Counsellor.
As both Athlete and Coach Barry has worked to understand all wearable devices, technology and data tools available to help you achieve your sporting dreams.
Barry has trained and raced across Triathlon, including Sprint, Olympic and Ironman Distance, including obtaining a much-coveted Norseman Black Finisher T-Shirt.
Outside of triathlon Barry would cross the half marathon finish line in 78 minutes before he moved to tackling Trail Running, Ultra and Mountain Marathonâs Running Distances.

Swim England Qualified Swim Coach & Teacher
As a qualified Swim England Swimming Teacher, Heartful Coaching can deliver the Swim England Learn to Swim Stage 1-7 Awards, which are divided into progressive Swimming stages. They make up the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for children.
The Individual Swimming Stages are designed to reward your child for their development of the essential aquatic skills they need to be confident, competent and safe in the water.
Each of the Swim England Learn to Swim Stage 1-7 Awards has a list of clear outcomes that need to be completed in order to gain each Swimming Award.
Swimmers will have developed a range of skills in previous stages and these are now brought into a sequence.
By the end of Stage 7, swimmers will be able to swim 25 metres of all four strokes to Swim Englandâs Expected Standards. Swimmers will also be able to complete a continuous swim of 100 metres using three of these different Swimming strokes.
Swim England Learn to Swim Stage 7 focuses on fully developing all four swimming strokes, as well as building stamina and improving diving skills.
